About Us
Never Alone was founded in 2024 because of teen suicides in our community. Our town and the communities around us felt that loss. Never Alone grew out of that grief, so no one would have to carry it alone, and so every person who walks in — youth, adult, neighbor — knows they have a place here.
We are a place for youth and adults to build real relationships, learn hands-on skills, and have a reason to show up.
Tuesday nights are shop nights. We eat together, work on race cars, and sometimes end up in a game of kickball. Weekends are for practice, tailgating, and racing under the lights at the dirt tracks across the region. Along the way we teach what the cars need: wrenching, welding, wiring, paint, auto glass, and how to drive. Whether you are teaching or learning, you are part of the relationships built here.
Mental health and suicide prevention stay at the center of what we do. Not through a lecture. Through a safe place, open conversation, and people who notice when you walk in.
If you want to join, come to the shop. The doors are always open. Bring a friend, come hungry, and you do not need to know a thing about cars. Everyone has a place.

Creating Change
Join our Volunteer Team
Volunteers are how Tuesday nights and race weekends happen. We need people who can wrench, weld, cook, haul, take photos, shoot video, or simply show up and stay with a kid who is learning something new. You do not need a title. If you can teach a skill, plate a meal, or be another safe adult in the shop, there is a place for you. Families, youth, and neighbors from Fergus Falls and beyond already carry a lot of this work. We need more of them.
Empowering the Community
We believe in the power of creating real change and making a positive impact on those we serve. Each week we work on real race cars, not a classroom demo. We tear cars apart and put them back together so they are ready to race. Youth and adults learn how to strip a car down, repair and prep it, weld, wire, paint, pull auto glass, and drive a dirt-track car. Professionals come in to teach. Newer kids learn beside kids who have already been under the hood. Then we eat together — tacos in a bag, sloppy joes, hot dogs, whatever is on the table — and the work starts. Teaching or learning, you are part of the relationship.
Supporting Youth & Adults
At Never Alone we view challenges as opportunities. We strive to equip individuals with the tools they need to navigate through difficult circumstances. Never Alone was built so mental health and suicide prevention stay in the open. Sometimes the support is a tool in someone’s hand. Sometimes it is a safe room where a person can tell they matter. Tuesday nights are food, fellowship, and shop time, with a game of kickball when the work is done. Weekends are practice, tailgating, and racing under the lights at dirt tracks across the region. A level program keeps drivers moving at a pace that is safe: shop first, then practice, then race. If you want in, come to the shop. The doors are open.
